Being asexual means experiencing little or no sexual attraction. People who are asexual often feel no need for sex with others \u2013 and this has nothing to do with shyness, trauma, or “not having found the right person yet.”
Asexuality is a valid sexual orientation, not a phase and not a defect. Period. <\/p>\n
What’s important: Asexual people can still love romantic feelings, intense relationships, or physical closeness. They just clearly separate sexual attraction from emotional connection. <\/p>\n
Asexuality is a spectrum \u2013 not everyone experiences it the same way.

But that’s exactly why visibility is important:
Asexuality shows that human intimacy can be incredibly diverse.
You can experience closeness, love, and sensuality \u2013 without sexual attraction. And that’s completely normal. <\/p>\nAsexuality is a valuable facet of human diversity<\/h3>\n
They live closeness, love, and connection in their own way \u2013 and that’s just as valid as any other orientation.<\/p>\n
Asexuality is an identity.<\/strong>
